BIOGRAPHIE
"[F. Vaysse-Knitter] has clearly established the Chopin-Debussy-Liszt lineage. First with Debussy's first book of Images which sounded ample and clear to achieve a stunning plastic beauty. (…) His interpretation [of Funérailles] stood out for its power, its gravity, its harmonic richness, Vaysse-Knitter drawing from this solemn work the sonic diversity of a large symphony orchestra. Finally, Poisson d'or (…), fluid with an aerial touch of a dizzying virtuosity." Bruno Serrou

"Each descent of the gaze into oneself is at the same time an ascension, an assumption, a look towards the true exterior." Novalis – translated here by Maurice Maeterlinck – offers the right words to express the quintessence of Frédéric Vaysse-Knitter's playing: striking in its extreme density and its character of vital urgency, his piano is in equal parts the champion of introspection and that of transcendence.
This partly explains his fascination with the music of Karol Szymanowski : Frédéric Vaysse-Knitter has devoted himself for several years to his piano works and to the repertoire of his contemporaries, while having a particular attachment to today's music . His solo recording of Szymanowski was awarded 4 Fonoforum stars, 5 Piano News stars, a Maestro from the Pianiste magazine, while the album Szymanowski-Stravinsky (Aparté) that followed, recorded with the violinist Solenne Païdassi , received a Choc Classica, 5 Diapasons, 10/10 Klassik Heute… Frédéric Vaysse-Knitter's discography includes recordings of Chopin/Liszt, Debussy (flute/piano) , Haydn, Satie, Brahms/Dvorak (trios) , Stravinsky, Szymanowski ; It notably earned him an Adami Youth Prize and a Grand Prix from the Charles Cros Academy.

He then had a decisive encounter with Krystian Zimerman , who advised and guided him in his choices. He then joined the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, where he obtained the Soloist diploma. Finally, he perfected his skills with musical authorities such as György Sebők , Alexis Weissenberg , Alicia de Larrocha and Leon Fleisher , at the prestigious International Foundation of Lake Como. They left a lasting impression on him: the first with his philosophical and spiritual approach to music, the second with the telluric power of his interpretation, the third with his concern for the vocal line, while the last revealed himself to be a master thinker.
